We stand in solidarity with the observance of human rights. We believe that all people are equal and have the right to a comfortable and safe life.
We want to live in Ukraine, where human rights will be respected, sex work will be decriminalized, and people will feel free and safe. And they will not be afraid that they will get a bat from an opponent of far-right views.

There are a lot in common in a way of struggle of sexual minorities and sex workers for their rights.
A bit of history: On the night of June 28, 1969, a gay bar called "Stonewall" in the New York area of Greenwich Village was hit by a police raid.
In the 60’s, dancing with partners of the same sex, public kisses and much more were prohibited.
That night, customers of the bar refused to obey the police and present documents, and men in women’s clothes refused to go to the toilet to undress and prove that they had the right to wear a dress. It all ended in street riots.
Next days a lot of pickets were held throughout the country, the participants of which did not use the word gay, but wrote: “Fair treatment of all citizens” or “Invisible Minority of America”.
A year later, the first pride was held in USA.

It is symbolic that right now in these days, 50 years later, another event of the “invisible minority” is being discussed in New York: the decriminalization of sex work. We strongly believe that this will happen in the United States of America and in Ukraine.
This confirms the example and perseverance of people from the bar "Stonewall".
