II All-Ukrainian Forum of sex workers was held – bright and successful! Each of us develops and grows, and with us the community of sex workers in Ukraine develops and grows stronger!

Now briefly about the event and the results:

There are sex workers in Ukraine, and they are brave.

The Ukrainian sex worker community is able to defend its rights and defend its interests.

Our partners are reliable. Our meetings are warm, new acquaintances are pleasant.

The goals of the Forum are achieved, and our plans are ambitious. Decriminalization of sex work in Ukraine will happen!

We are proud that what has recently seemed impossible for now is a reality. For the second year in a row, sex workers from different parts of Ukraine come together without hiding, not hiding their faces, openly declaring their existence. The second year our friends and partners support us and help in organizing and conducting the congress.

Forum is a unique opportunity to get to know each other, exchange experiences and share the most intimate. This year, more than 40 sex workers came to Odessa, among whom there were many “newcomers”. 10 speakers and coaches responded to our invitation, including specialists in lawmaking and law, psychology and psychotherapy, mobilization and team building – they helped make these six days as useful and interesting as possible for all participants.

We studied, rested and worked together to resolve the most pressing issues for sex workers, determined strategic directions for community development, and planned joint actions as part of an information campaign to promote the decriminalization of sex work in Ukraine. The Forum’s goal was achieved – the participants left with the understanding that together we are stronger, that together we can change laws and law enforcement practices, that we can influence public opinion, and in this process of change, the “voice” of each participant is important, and everyone’s opinion will be taken into account.

“… I am writing with emotions, it is so beautiful! For a whole week I was in Odessa from the CO Legalife-Ukraine. That was awesome! New friends, new knowledge and just awesome atmosphere !!! When I was traveling, I thought it would probably be boring somehow, but it turned out the opposite! You can’t even imagine how much buzz I got … How much I learned … I thank the organizers, coaches, guests of the forum and all the guys who were there! You are all cool and each of you is unique … I thank the Universe for such an opportunity … ”, Taina, participant of the Forum.
